Bhalessa residents demand admission to Science stream at GDC Kilhotran

Bhalessa: 

The inhabitants of Bhalessa has expressed resentment over the non functioning of Science stream in Government Degree College Kilhotran Bhalessa Doda even though the science stream and post for the same was sanctioned in the year 2014. The deputation of  parents approached the principal and higher authorities of the department several times for start of the admission process for the science stream but in vain. A spokesman of an organisation Bhalessa Heritage Centre (,Bhalessa Saqafti Markuz) has asked the Director Colleges Jammu, Principal of the college that why science stream is not functioning. The students are deviod of the science stream admission. The inhabitants has requested the governor to look into the matter and direct the concerned authorities for start of admission to B.SC so as to ensure justice. 
Nasir Rather, Ex President of College students Union has demanded that "we are being excluded from right to education by not introducing admission to the science stream in the college. 
The inhabitants has submitted a request letters to Governers adminstration, Chief Secretary, Commissioner secretary Higher Education, Director Colleges, District Megistrate Doda, SDM Gandoh, and Principal of the college. The Govt. Degree college Kilhotran was established in 2008, since then students were not provided an opportunity to provide access to higher science Education. The inhabitants lamanted that as of now, the admission to BA is underway and Kilhotran college has not been covered under the ambit of admission to science stream besides sanction of stream and posts by the department. The inhabitants has asked the Principal as to why the delay has been perpetuated by college adminstration besides the efforts and collaborative approach extended by the local institutions and masses. 
The inhabitants and students of the area has threatned to take agitational path if the admission process for B.sc is not started now.

Unsung heroes of Bhalessa

Some of such families inhibited in a remote corner of Doda District (Bhalessa). When people of Bhalessa shared a belief in 1953 that how they can represent the democratic arena. One such families was the Batt family which migrated to the Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh while a few factions stayed in Bhalessa's Soti village. The family at Soti took up peasant work. Ghulam Rasool (Azad) was born in the year 1916 to this peasant family. Sadaket Malik Bal Padri  is  having enough potential to hold back W tourist in the area for at least a fortnight. Imagine how much good it could do to the local economy.
